I’ve been playing with my art, much like a kid plays in the sand… I see things evolve before my eyes, and that leads to the next step, then the next, and then the next step after that. I’ve found myself moving towards more organic shapes. Somehow, these feel oddly comforting, as I navigate my way through my artwork. “Brave”, a 60″x36″ work is an example of that. There’s a quiet jubilation I feel, as I explore the canvas, moving from form to form, feeling like I’m floating from one shape to the next.
This is when I feel most relaxed. I arrive at what I call my “artist’s plane”, where time has little meaning, and rushes forward, must faster than I even know. Painting is like a drug for me. Highly addictive.
